Who is SPS Manufacturing?

History

SPS or at the time Spare Parts Specialist was founded by Aaron Bloy in 2001. With only two machining centers and a space no larger than ones garage the vision was to create a company which allowed local manufacturers to buy replacement parts for equipment produced overseas without having to go overseas. Provide better quality at a competitive price with shorter lead times while also keeping manufacturing in America. Mr. Bloy was truly looking to fill a need.

During the next 8 years SPS grew, and began to offer services outside of the original scope of replacement spare parts. While expanding its service offering SPS created and produced prototype as well as production parts, worked with machine builders to produce parts for equipment they designed as well as designed and built automated equipment for its own clients. As a service SPS provides a stocking location for companies working to reduce on hand inventory.

In the second year of operation SPS joined with a sister company JSI to produce focused solutions for the printing industry including many patented applications.

Over the years the needs of SPS’s clients have evolved, and the services of SPS have expanded. In 2008 SPS moved into a newly built 35,000 sq/ft facility in Tyrone, Georgia which houses many machining centers, lasers, press brakes, grinders, and a full quality inspection department. SPS also has onsite engineering for part design and, custom automation solutions. This growth all stems from looking every day for ways to meet the original goals.
